The Rachel Fairburn “Show Girl” Tour comes to The Attic, Southampton for a great night of comedy
Rachel Fairburn has been a stand-up comic since 2008, with The Daily Telegraph hailing her as one of the top comedians at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2018. She has had roles on BBC’s “Funny from the Fringe”, “Evil Genius with Russell Kane” and BBC Radio Scotland’s “Breaking the News”. And now she’s coming to The Attic to deliver some fine comedy in Southampton.
Originally from Manchester, Rachel Fairburn has activated the attention of audiences worldwide as a comedian and writer. Recently listed in Chortle’s “One to Watch” for 2020 and won the 2019 online content award from Joe.co.uk, she is no stranger to success in her craft.
Additionally, Rachel has been the finalist of several renowned awards such as Funny Women, City Life Comedian of the Year, NATYS and English Comedian of the Year.
In addition to her own accolades, Rachel co-hosts and co-writes the worldwide hit podcast All Killa No Filla which boasts an impressive fan base of over a quarter million listeners internationally – enough that she has taken it on tours all over Britain and America.
The Independent listed All Killa No Filla as one of the top eight true crime podcasts of 2018, with Esquire declaring it the second-best True Crime Podcast in 2018, and The Guardian hailing it as among the best podcasts of that same year. Time Magazine specifically noted their podcast to be an illustration of how female comedians are addressing matters associated with the #MeToo movement.
Since 2014, Rachel has been an active presence at Edinburgh Fringe, having performed in six acclaimed solo events and making appearances in The Daily Telegraph’s ‘40 Jokes of the Fringe’ and The Times ‘Best Jokes from Edinburgh Fringe 2022.’
Additionally, she is a frequent performer on the UK stand-up comedy scene and serves as host and curator for the popular ‘Comedians’ Stories’ night at 2Northdown Comedy Club in London.
