Come and see the finest up and coming comedians in and around Southampton compete for The Attic’s “Southampton comedian of the year.” 

Heat 1, Southampton Comedian of the Year!

Both the audience and judges will decide who progresses to the Semi Finals and Grand Final. The judges’ top scorers will progress, alongside the acts with the highest audience votes, provided that they are in the top half of the judges’ scores. Each audience member votes for 2 acts on their ticket after all the acts have performed. The results of who progresses to the next round will be announced on the day.

Additional categories with a trophy up for grabs for young performer (21 and under) and Rookie of the year (those who have only started gigging in the last 18 months). Please notify us if you fall into either of these categories. These categories will be Judged, from those making the Grand Final.

Entry Requirements: 

The competition is open to any non-professional act who’s been performing for 5 years or less and entries from character acts, musical acts and sketch groups are welcome. The only restriction is that all contestants must live in or around Southampton up to a distance of 35 miles maximum.

7 pm doors. The show starts at 7:30 pm.
